Bearish trend continues at Dhaka Stock Exchange |

Dhaka-- (UNB) – Bearish trend continued in the Dhaka Stock Exchange as its main index slipped below-600 mark again yesterday (Saturday). The DSE all Share Price Index went down by 18.55 points or 3.01 percent to close at 596.42 points from 614.97 points on the previous trading day. The DSE-20 index of selected companies also marked a sharp decline by 53.12 points or 4.39 percent to close at 1154.81 points from Monday’s 1207.93 points. Of the 155 listed securities traded yesterday, 134 declined, 12 advanced and 9 remained unchanged. Some 2,022,993 shares and debentures worth Tk 14.09 crore were transacted against 1,912,879 shares valued at Tk 15.25 crore on the previous trading day. AIMS 1st MF (215,000), Beximco Pharma (223,450), Quasem Drycell (130,900) and Sinobangla (137,500) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 56.85 billion from Tk 58.62 billion Monday. |
